An account of the so-called seasonless seasons of Northern California where the waters of the Sierra Nevada come down to the Pacific Ocean at San Francisco Bay.
With the scent of an innocent baby's bottom, acacia blooms all over the Bay Area in early February through early April. Related to the acacia of the Bible--from which the ark of the covenant was to be made--and the acacias on the plains of Africa tempting the giraffe. To me, a magical plant and so beautiful in its yellow brilliance and grey-brown bark.
